There was a feeling of great excitement. The queen was coming to lunch.The mayor said:"We must have our town looking spotless, with not a leaf out of space." Harry, Poppy, Tom, Milly and Molly, George, Sophie, Alf. Elizabeth, Jack, Meg and Humphrey worked like little beavers. When all was done, the town was spotless, everyone just had time to rush home and scrub up before the Queen swished up in her big, black, shiny car.
